Christians, "For such a time as this"...

Brothers, Sisters... never feel that you don't have a purpose, or that your existence doesn't matter.

Your time is now to love and be loved.  Each act of kindness for another has great eternal impact.   Jesus Christ's ministry was only 3 years long, but He impacted all of humanity for all eternity; Abe Lincoln's time in office as President lasted only 2 years before death, and we still talk about the impact he made for freedom for millions of people.  We have been given today, this moment in time... what will we do with it?

The kind word you sow, the smile you give, the hug you offer, the scripture you share, the "I love you" you say to your friend... may have an impact beyond that which you know.  Just one small act of kindness may change a person's life forever.  We each are only given an allotted span of time to be on this earth, "....And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14b)

"Then Jesus told them, "You are going to have the light just a little while longer. Walk while you have the light..." John 12:3

"Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people..." Galatians 6:10

"We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."
1 Thessalonians 1:3

Let's make an eternal difference in the lives of others, let's follow in Christ's footsteps fulfilling our purpose... "For such a time as this"  we are born!

Be not afraid when all the earth is shaking....

"Abide in Me, and I will abide in you." When all the earth is shaking, we need not fear. Get into God's Holy Place, His Throne Room, through worship and you'll find Him! We enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise... so worship and He'll meet you there. It is in His presence that you will find peace, safety, provision, guidance, love. Once you are in His presence, in His Holy Place... let Him speak to you... be quiet and listen. He speaks through His Word, through godly counsel, and to you directly to your heart.

Over time, as your heart starts to learn how to hear Him, you will find you hear Him often through the day, more and more.... He will bring scriptures to your mind to encourage you, He will whisper to you when you are about to go in a wrong direction, He will envelope you in His love just at the moment you need a warm hug, He will never leave you and will give you comfort when you are lonely, He will become the Lover of your Soul.

So be not afraid.   Worship Him.  He is worthy of our praise.  Peace, be still.   Shhhh... He is speaking.

Where is your focus?

FOOD FOR TODAY:

Nothing more to add to the following Words from the Lord, if we will but meditate on them, letting them bring truths to our heart... not reading them through just once, but many times... seeking God for revelatory knowledge to release us from any anxiousness we may have. Anxiety is really the opposite of faith. It is not trusting in God. We must choose who we trust, by an act of our will.. by choosing to trust God, we are acting and causing faith to grow within ourselves. His Word is true... so therefore if He says be anxious for nothing... we should trust that He has a greater plan and will take care of whatever we are getting into anxiety over. Faith... acting on His promises... choosing to trust our Father!! Thank You Lord!!

Philippians 4:6-8 (New King James Version)
6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Want to be used by God more???

Ever want to be used by God more, but no money, no idea of how, and no open doors?

Think on this: He has given us the greatest weapon to advance His Kingdom...  it is free to us to use, available all the time, and all we have to do is give up a bit of our time.  Even Apostle Paul said he used this weapon more than all, and to use it constantly.

So what is this Weapon?    It is PRAYER!!

Pour out your heart on behalf of others to God, and expect Him to answer!

Psalms 116:1 "I love the Lord, because He heard me and answered my prayer."

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours."

National Day of Prayer is May 5th... every day should be.  Let's use our weapon, the Sword of the Spirit-- His Word, in Praying for others!!!

No sin too big for God's Grace

His Grace, is grace... not based upon our goodness or our horrible sins... but His grace. It is sinful to not accept what He has done... for not one drop of His blood should be wasted by our not accepting His free gift. Our pride is what holds us back from accepting His grace, and forgiveness. How dare we think our sin is too big for the cross!! Do you continue in self pity of your own actions or do you accept His gift, setting aside your desire for self-- pity... and recognize His grace is sufficient!!

A lady told me that she simply could not forgive herself.  To not forgive ourselves, is to hold ourselves up to be bigger than God's grace! It is a form of self-- pity... where the focus in still on ourselves, not on God and what He did for us. It is consumption with self. His love is so great, and His grace is sufficient for anything we ever did or will do!

He is sufficient, His grace is everlasting... we simply receive from the abundance that His blood on the cross bought us!!  Praise His Name!

Faith, Act, Receive

Faith is trust, and confidence that His promises are true.  The bible promises us, that His Word doesn't come back void, that He will meet you where you extend your faith to.
When you pray, believe that you will have that which you have prayed for, and you will receive it.  We must pray according to His will.  His will is found in His Word, for His Word holds all His promises.
Let's all be like the woman with the issue of blood, who knew Jesus was her healer and pushed through the crowd extending her faith to touch His garment. She put action to her faith and was rewarded with her healing!

We must do the same, whether... your action is thanking Him in advance of seeing the manifestation or acting on what you know to be truth in some other way.
Choose to look at God's promises, and not the circumstances. Do not deny the problem but look to Jesus instead. God's Word and promises are true.
As you act on God's promises, do so in confidence that your prayer is heard and will be answered even before you utter your request.
Be sure to do all in Jesus' name and to His Glory!!

OH God, "Break my heart with what breaks yours..."

Listen to this song, and feel God's abundant love for you... how blessed you are... and let's love others with His kind of LOVE!!!  "No greater love hath any man than he lay down his life for a friend" Jesus Christ.

God thank you for all you have blessed me with, break my heart with what breaks yours, so that I may be your vessel to love as you love.

Can we ever have enough of God???

We have the fullness of God in Christ Jesus, and have the Holy Spirit in fullness when we are baptized in Him... do you think we can ever have enough of God?

Yes, and No.

Yes, for His work on the Cross was a complete work. He has given us all we need to live this life in Him and live it abundantly. He has given us authority over all power of the enemy.  Does this mean only a little bit of power to live our life? No, He says authority over ALL power of the enemy!(Luke 10:19 NLT) Additionally, He now sits at the right hand of the Father ever interceding for us.   So, yes, we have all of the Godhead living in us when we are born again, and then the fullness of the Godhead in completeness when we are Baptized in the Holy Spirit.  The scripture tells us that He gives us the Holy Spirit with power to be witnesses of Him to the world. So yes, we have exactly what we need of God in ALL His fullness, so we can have enough.

But what about the renewing of our minds? Are we then perfect for we have Him in fullness, since He is Holy, and perfect.  No, for we are to be sanctified daily, pressing towards the mark of the prize of the High Calling in Christ Jesus.  Yes, we may continue to sin, and fall short but He is faithful and just to forgive us. We are no longer "sinner's" for we have been born again, but are new creatures in Him, His Ambassadors, Kings and Priests unto Him, His brothers, sisters, friends. Although we have His power and are His vessels, our walk and cry for Him is a daily walk. One of daily feeding on His Word for Him to wash us, to grow us, to teach us, to draw us near.  As we seek to put Him first in our lives, seeking to be like Him, He adds all things to us, life in fullness.  So, no, we can't ever have enough of God, for we must press in to Him to know Him more, to hunger and thirst for Him like no other, to be desperately in love with Him... to be yielded for Him to fill us.

In all things, He has provided for us... even in our search for Him.  He tells us to seek Him and we will find Him. He tells us to abide in Him, and He will abide in us.  There is great peace in the fact that we don't have to strive to become like Him, but simply be a yielded teachable vessel... for it is His job to grow us. He is the Author and Perfecter of our Faith. As we look to Him in all things, He will brings us to Himself and fulfill His purpose and plan for our life.  Hebrews 12:1-2

Praising God "for as a deer pants for the water, so does my soul pant after thee!"
Oh, Father, we cry for more of you!!! More of you in our lives!!!

Psalm 42:1-8 (New King James Version)

1 As the deer pants for the water brooks,
So pants my soul for You, O God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God?[b]
3 My tears have been my food day and night,
While they continually say to me,
         “Where is your God?”

4 When I remember these things,
I pour out my soul within me.
         For I used to go with the multitude;
I went with them to the house of God,
With the voice of joy and praise,
With a multitude that kept a pilgrim feast.

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him
For the help of His countenance.[c]

 6 O my God,[d] my soul is cast down within me;
Therefore I will remember You from the land of the Jordan,
And from the heights of Hermon,
         From the Hill Mizar.
 7 Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls;
All Your waves and billows have gone over me.
8 The LORD will command His loving kindness in the daytime,
And in the night His song shall be with me—
A prayer to the God of my life.

This love is so deep....

Jesus, Lord, Master, I want to hear your heart beat...

The more I seek you,
the more I find you.

The more I find you,
the more I love you.

I wanna sit at your feet
drink from the cup in your hand.
Lay back against you and breath,
hear your heart beat...

This love is so deep,
it's more than I can stand.
I melt in your peace, it's overwhelming...

The more I seek you,
the more I find you.

The more I find you,
the more I love you..

Our God!!!! His presence is felt, seen.. Psalms 46:1

Some days there are moments when your heart overfills with such joy that you can barely contain it! Today is one of those for me!

God's presence is everywhere on this Spring day! His beauty is in the flowers, in the warmth of the sunshine, in the vibrancy of the tender green shoots of grass coming up, in the fluffy white clouds floating by, and in the incredible Carolina blue sky!  Joy is bubbling up inside of me... am so thrilled to be alive and know our God!! Our Lord! Our Savior!! Our precious JESUS CHRIST!!!

He is so awesome, so overwhelming, so ever present, so real!!  His love over flows towards us... We bow before you Creator, Master, Lord, in gratitude that you call us your own, that You call us friend.

Let all of heaven and earth worship You today, Father... You are so very deserving! You alone are worthy!

Thank You Lord, that even in the midst of trials, earthquakes, death, devastation, You bring us hope, through your abundant love for us.  You call us to join in unity for one another, to work beside each other to bring help, to bring encouragement, to love as You love.  You enable us to reach those who grieve with your comfort, to cry with them but also point them to your promises of a better tomorrow!

Oh God, thank You! Thank You for this beautiful day full of hope! Father, carry your warmth, your over flowing presence, your love to those around this world who are struggling now.  Share with them our portion so they may know you are with them... God reach out with your love to those in New Zealand, in New Jersey, and now in Japan! Father, pour out yourself on your people, giving them some of the joy You have given us this day, our brothers/sisters need You... Oh God, love on them, show yourself strong on their behalf.  In Jesus Name.

If you are in need of God's presence, let the words of this song wash over you, and rise up in hope, for God is for you!  Be encouraged, for "our God is greater than any other"!!  There will come a new day...

Psalms 46:1  God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. (NKJV)

Hallelujah, let God be praised! To God be all Glory!!

BGEA: Heartbreak and Healing in Japan

BGEA: Heartbreak and Healing in Japan

God cares about us and wants to answer our questions!

God cares for all those folks in Japan who are suffering right now, and the rescue workers who are putting their lives on the line to try to bring order to the chaos. He cares so very deeply...

I read an article where one lady felt that perhaps God doesn't want us to know what He is up to in our lives, and feels that we should blindly accept difficulties as His will. My answer to her is the following:

First, God cares about the very number of hairs on our head.  He loves us so much that He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, for us even while we were turned totally against Him in our lives. Are we to think that He doesn't want us to understand Him, His ways or walk with Him as a friend would?

Yes, He is sovereign and we are to submit, as believers, to His will and purposes.  But He is a loving God.  He gave us His Son, to allow us through Jesus to be able to enter into His inner chambers, in other words, direct access to the Father.  He gave us His Word/Bible as direction to His will so we wouldn't be left out in the blind. He gave us His Holy Spirit to lead us, to speak to our hearts, to help us know Him.  His Word gives us His known will, and through the growth of our relationship with Him, through the Holy Spirit, we can develop our ears to hear and our hearts to follow.  We aren't to wonder around blindly not understanding Him.

Further, He didn't make us puppets, to not question Him.  He encourages us to question, to seek Him til we find Him... to know Him and be known.

Yes, we are to trust Him when we don't understand, but it is an opportunity to press in closer to Him to grow in Him and understand Him and His will/purposes.  So when life's boat rocks, it
is not a time to throw up our hands and say "oh well, God is sovereign and I'll just put up with it." No, it is a time to press in to Him, to claim His promises, to receive His abundant life even in the storm, to hear His voice and in all, to trust because we know our God.  He does want our trust, but He also wants to share His heart with us.

When we don't understand events, He is patiently waiting for us to turn to Him with our cries, our hurts, our concerns and He will answer.   (Psalms 116:1-2, NLT)

He will never leave us nor forsake us.. even in the storms of life.  So press in...
